The tag team of swords gets the full Sakurai, as expected.
The next Smash character demo is a bit more than a week away.
A demonstration video for Pyra and Mythra, announced for Smash Ultimate last week in the Nintendo Direct, will air next Thursday (March 4) at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT / 1500 CET. The video will be roughly 35 minutes long.
The video will be focused entirely on Pyra and Mythra with accompanying Mii costumes and other items: no other fighters will be discussed.

What else is out this week besides Bravely Default: The New Class?
It's the rare occasion in which you can debate whether a Nintendo published game is the big game of the week: Bravely Default III: This Time It's Personal is countered by the full release of Persona 5 Strikers to give those who enjoy RPGs a coronary. But this week is busy even beyond that: the planning spreadsheet for this week runs 40 deep and it took two and a half hours to load the list.

One of Nintendo's recent partners is bringing their competitive fighter to the portable arena.
The Switch will soon be home to another technical fighter.
Arika have announced an exclusive-to-Switch version of their Fighting EX Layer games - Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash - will come to Switch as at least a timed exclusive. More details on the game are expected on April 1, though Arika have already confirmed rollback netcode will be added post-launch with delay-based netcode in the game at launch.

The Arcade Collection isn't Blizzard's only return to the old school for Switch.
The long-rumored Diablo II remaster will come to Switch this year - with cross-platform play - as Diablo II: Resurrected. The original PC title released in 2000, though was made compatible with modern PCs as late as 2015.

The monsters in this presentation are a lot bigger, on average, than the monsters we'll be presented with next week.
Capcom is throwing a Monster Hunter week to get everyone ready for Rise.
The first presentation will be an update video for Monster Hunter Rise and Stories 2, which will air Monday, March 8 at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT. A hunting tutorial and developer Q&A will follow on Tuesday at the same time, with a community live stream to air at a time to be announced on the 11th (Thursday).

These won't be coming cheap.
The whole world will be able to hunt with the Monster Hunter Rise Switch this March.
The themed system and Pro Controller previously announced for the rest of the world were confirmed for North America as well, launching March 26. The system will come with a Deluxe download code for Rise for US$369.99, while the Pro Controller will have an MSRP of US$74.99.

Don't worry, you don't have to use motion controls while riding the bus... but you could.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is on its way to Switch via The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. Beyond being upped to high defenition, Skyward Sword HD also features new control options. Two Joy Cons can be used to emulated the original Wii motion controls. A new motion free control setup is also available. We all knew there would be one zombie franchise resurrected today, but who had THIS one on the bingo card?
One of the most irreverent zombie games of the 2000s is coming to Switch next month.
Aspyr Media have revived their 2005 game Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without A Pulse and will publish the game on Switch March 16. It is available for preorder on the eShop today.
The original title was strictly on the original Xbox as well as PC and Mac in 2005. Its original developer, Wideload Games, closed down in 2014.

In today's Nintendo Direct, EA announced the oft-rumored release of Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville for Switch would finally happen on March 19 at a launch price of US$39.99. This will follow Apex Legends's March 9 release.

Stop me if you heard this one before: It's a HD 2D game you can play today.
The Octopath Traveler team is going tactical for their next "HD 2D" RPG.
Project "Triangle Strategy" (a working title) will launch in 2022 on Switch, though a demo with feedback will be available today as is tradition for the developer. Set in the midst of a "Saltiron War", the combat system is a tactical RPG with choices that will affect the story based on three factors: Utility, Morality, and Liberty.
