US sales were incredibly tall in May, but Nintendo still held on for a hardware win in the US NPD sales survey.
All rankings based on dollar sales from May 2 - 29 unless indicated: Nintendo titles are not counted digitally but most third party titles are.

Since apparently everyone is getting out of the way of Tuesday's Direct and the sale that's going to follow it, this is a positively New Year's list - in that it's got very little on it. Unless there's an absolute boatload of shadowdrops Tuesday. Or Sunday, given that Minute of Islands came out in between the writing of this piece and the publication.

The follow-up to one of 2019's most disturbing titles is the rare PS5/XBSeries/Switch game.
One of the games announced at Microsoft's showcase today was later confirmed for Switch release along with the obligatory Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 release.
Publisher Focus Home Interactive have announced A Plague Tale: Requiem, the sequel to 2019 horror adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence, would release on Switch in 2022 by way of a cloud version. It was confirmed in the small print of the game's reveal trailer.

The devil, you say?
The resurrection of Diablo II will be complete very early in the fall.
At Microsoft's summer showcase, Activision Blizzard confirmed that the remaster of Diablo II will release on September 23 - for all platforms. Previously only a release year (2021) was given.
The trailer also confirmed cross-progression for all consoles and 8 player online co-op.

The worst kept secret of the weekend is now official.
Ubisoft have revealed Mario + Rabbits: Sparks of Hope at their Ubisoft Forward presentation today. The sequel to the 2017 strategy game will add Rabbid versions of Rosalina and Luma, befitting its new intergalactic setting as Mario characters team up with Rabbids to save "Sparks" hidden around the galaxy. How will Ubisoft move forward from this?
Nintendo seemed to have uploaded the page for the-yet unannounced sequel to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle early (Update: The page has since been taken down). The sequel will be called Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and releases in 2022. The game is published by Ubisoft and seems to feature new Rabbidfied versions of classic Mario characters like Rosalina and even a Rabbid Luma. The description on the page reads as follows:
