New Wario Ware On GBA

Spin your way to victory in 200 new mini-games.

According to Japanese gaming site Namae no Nai Heya (literally, "Room With No Name"), Nintendo's latest entry into the quickly expanding Wario Ware franchise will feature a completely new form of control. The game is called Mawaru Made in Wario and is to be released for Game Boy Advance, as recently noted in Famitsu Weekly.

Namae no Nai Heya reports that the game is played by spinning the GBA in circles ("mawaru"), and that no button pressing is required. Some 200 new mini-games will use this feature in ways we can't possibly imagine. The new technology seems to be distinct from the Tilt Pak used in Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble, which detects angular orientation but cannot detect rotation.

Mawaru Made in Wario is set for release in Japan on October 14. No release plans for North America have been announced.

Thanks to Chris Kohler for the tip!

This is going to be real interesting to try to play on my Game Boy Player.

It'll work just as well as Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble does! face-icon-small-thumbsup.gif

Maybe we'll see another Warioware on the Gamecube using the Kongo Drums or the Nintendo version of the EyeToy which I've heard will be used for Mario Party 6.

I guess they'd have to add an option to switch b/w the GBA and the SP.

I hope they call this Made In Wario outside of Japan, for some reason. I despise the name Wario Ware, and consider it one of the main reasons it bombed in the US but was successful in Japan. face-icon-small-tongue.gif

I'll bet that for the 4th one you'll have to dance.

I think that does sound plausable, but the Made in Wario thing would probably make the game sound like crap. LITERALLY.

If they are going to port it to GC then I wonder how they are going to detect the rotations...I smell a potential GC/GBA connectivity horror! :0
