Set your time machine to "NES."

According to Game Informer Online Nintendo's new Classic NES line may already be available at a store near you. The site's managing editor, and former PGC Head Honcho, Billy Berghammer stumbled upon the new NES styled GBA SP system and Classic NES games while out shopping. The line isn't supposed to be available until next week. After checking around at a few other places they discovered that many stores already had the classics available. It appears Nintendo has shipped them early. So if you're hankerin' for some old school gaming on your GBA try giving your local store a call to see if they have the goods.

If you want to know more about the NES Classic series, check out Nintendo's officially totally rad website for more info.

It makes sense since the commercial for Classic's and the NES GBASP have been on since atleast yesterday.
I saw the commercial atleast 3 times last nite alone. The commercial is in the same style as all the new GB commercials, with the game surrounding the guy playing the GB.

I really want that NES SP, but I'll probably be able to resist the temptation...However, I'll be picking up Zelda for sure sometime soon... ^_^

I know that Nintendo has shipped the NES SP and teh Classic Series games to sotres already, but if the store knows what it's doing, then it's holding on to them until next week. I think the store that Billy visited probably didn't know that they weren't supposed to put it out or didn't care. I know for a fact that many Best Buy stores already have lots of Classic Series games and NES GBA SPs sitting in their stock rooms.

My circuit city was leaving them in the stock room.... so i went back back there and took them and bought them face-icon-small-smile.gif

I couldn't hold back... had to get that NES GBA SP... already have two normal GBAs, no SP yet, so at least I had some sort of excuse (=p). Also picked up Zelda and Bomberman (the first is the best in both cases imo).

I was going through my local Best Buy and they have all the retro games. Plus the plenty of the NES SPs.

And today when I went to my Gamestop they just recieved their shipment. And were discussing the sratch and sniff stickers that came with the shipment. Excite bike smelled like rubber and there was some other interesting smells for the rest of them.

I added this in the other thread as well but it is very cool...

Wellll just so you all know... Circuit City is have a tubular sale starting wednesday of next week. All classic NES edition games will be 14.99 and the first 10 games purchased will come with a cool orange T-Shirt that says "Mario Bros. Plumbing" on it. Its pretty cool.... I haven't gotten mine yet cause the computer won't let me, but I have seen them.
