Nintendo DS Logo Revealed!

Plus, the official name.

Electronic Entertainment Expo 2004: The Nintendo DS Logo Revealed!

There it is. As you can see, Nintendo seems to be sticking with the name they've already established in pre-E3 hype: Nintendo DS. This logo, seen in Nintendo's E3 2004 booth setup, is the first official information we've seen of the new system since the infamous Nintendo Nitro logo. That name, which was claimed to be an outdated development name by Nintendo representatives, now looks to be just that. Note that the Nintendo DS logo shows two equally sized rectangular screens, laid out one on top of the other.

Here are some other interesting photos we snapped in and around Nintendo's booth:

Electronic Entertainment Expo 2004: Okay, this one we expected...

Electronic Entertainment Expo 2004: Another musical DK game?

Electronic Entertainment Expo 2004: Slick Metroid Prime 2 Banner in Nintendo's Booth

Electronic Entertainment Expo 2004: Stage Debut is back for another year at E3.

The sarcasm and insults are not terribly appreciated. FYI ... we are not only going to through the E3 traffic spike, but we've gotten Slashdotted two days in a row, today's being a HUGE one for the ChronoTrigger remake news. Please, be patient. We don't get your hopes up like that on purpose.

A quick phone call and I got it taken care of. However, images might take a couple reloads if they timeout.

Well done PGC.

Nintendo DS sounds cool, i'm glad they're sticking with it. Or are they?

EDIT: Stage Debut Station? face-icon-small-shocked.gif

Hey, Rick, its late night good fun. I appreciate what you guys do here more than a lot of people. I know what goes into it and I apologize for being taken the wrong way. I'm part of the problem sitting here checking the forums every 5 minutes to see if you guys got anything up. face-icon-small-smile.gif I was going for a smile from you guys....not that response...

Wow, Ironic.

I was first informed of this site by IGN when they showed the picture that you nabbed of the Gamecube logo. They credited the picture to the crazies at PGC, and I have been around since. With new logos though, it seems that you are 2 for 2 with getting them first. Congrats. This is why I read PGC.

Stage Debut is going to set a record for most E3 appearances. If Nintendo can't find a way to release that game commercially they should put it away until they can. It's getting silly to keep showing it.

Sorry about that, this is a double post. *grumble grumble* Freaking 56k split 5 ways! Grr. Carry on.

There'll be 5 different Donkey Kong games this E3, other pictures on the net have some more E3 stuff, like Donkey Konga, DK's Jungle Beat, DK King of Swing, and Mario VS. Donkey Kong. Maybe Donkey Kong Country 2, I'm not sure...

SuperLink666May 11, 2004

wooohoo face-icon-small-smile.gif

Jungle Beat and King of Swing are just add-ons to Donkey Konga with more songs. That must be it.
