Even though Nintendo's president will be there, it looks like the rest of Nintendo won't.

In the past, the Tokyo Game Show was held twice-yearly, once in the spring and again in the fall. However, organizers of the event saw that attendance was dropping, and decided the right thing to do was to turn it into a giant once-a-year event.

This year from September 26-28, hundreds of thousands of Japanese will flock to the public event to check out the latest games. Before the doors open up, though, Nintendo's own Satoru Iwata will be delivering the keynote speech for the event. Being the man to deliver the speech for Japan's largest game show is quite the honor, and whatever he says is bound to be of importance.

However, even though Nintendo's big cheese will be at the show, it appears that Nintendo won't, as they currently aren't on the exhibitors list. Traditionally, Nintendo has never gone to the Tokyo Game Show, since they prefer to promote their games in their own way, such as the Spaceworld show.
