Come see why Viewtiful is beautiful!

We got our copy of Capcom's P.N.03 from Video

Game Depot, and on the disc is a brand new trailer for Viewtiful Joe.

We've decided to encode this trailer 2 ways:  Windows Media 9, and MPEG.

Don't forget to right click and save this file to your computer.

*You will need Windows

Media Player to view the Windows Media Files.

Viewtiful Joe

Windows Media:

Movie 1

(14.3MB Windows Media File)

Movie 1

(31.6MB MPEG)

Anyone else getting second thoughts about this title?

My first impression after seeing the other trailer was very favorable, and I was looking forward to playing a 2-D side scroller on the GCN.

But now as more of the plot is shown, and even more effects are poured into the moves. The game is actually looking less appealing to me... :-/

As much as I, being a Win98 non-SE user, appreciate your now offering of movies in a format other than WMV9, I'm puzzled as to why the format wasn't DivX. File sizes would be less than MPEG format and it's still cross-platform compatible with Mac and Linux!

Yeah, check out the Soul Calibur II thread. I posted a Divx conversion of one of the MPEG movies. It looks pretty good if you ask me. I am still waiting for an answer from the staff.

About the trailer though, I think the game looks really cool. It's not really my type of game, but I gave the trailer a watching anyways, and I was quite impressed. It went from a game that I was curious about to a definate rental. face-icon-small-wink.gif

well to me this game looks like it will kick major major ass
this has been my most anticipated game from the capcom 5 and the trailor makes the game look cooler than ever
more of the moves are shown and even the plot comes to light
the game looks really cool as a good 2d side scroller- something i think we all desperately need
also, the impressions at ign on the game made a while back only made my anticipation increase
if it is half as good as it looks, it will be a great game
