Love the AUF car chase levels? Run away from cops or play the cops and run them down in EA's newest high-speed chaser for GameCube!
Earlier today, EA announced that it is planning to release the newest installment in its popular racing/car chase series, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 for GameCube, Xbox, Playstation 2, and PC. The game is currently scheduled to hit store shelves late this summer. The Need For Speed team were the ones who slapped together the joyous car chase levels in 007: Agent Under Fire.
The game will feature over 20 exotic cars to choose from and wreck on high-speed runs from the heat. A few of the available choices include the Ferrari 360 Spider, Lamborghini Murcielago and Porsche Carrera GT. There will also be five different modes of play, keeping loyal to the winning Need For Speed formula:
- Quick Race
- Single Challenge
- Championship
- Hot Pursuit, and
- Top Cop - a chance to play the role of the cops by competing in over 30 different events - exclusively for the GameCube, Xbox, and PC versions of the game.
The game will feature 12 miles of road environment spanning over 20 different tracks ranging from beaches to forests. And that's not all: the Hot Pursuit and Championship modes will also offer over 30 racing events, and completing these events will unlock additional cars, tracks, and special upgrades.
