James Pond used to be a big fish on 16-bit platforms, and his startling comeback is sure to excite at least a few gamers.

Swing! Entertainment and Creature Labs have announced the workings of not one, but two James Pond titles! Always a multiplatform critter, James Pond will make his fishy reappearance to the gaming scene in late 2002 via "James Pond: Codename Robocod," a GBA remake of the second James Pond game (Super James Pond for SNES). The following year James will be featured in a brand new game for "next-generation systems." Considering the franchise's demographic and GBA remake, a GCN edition is quite likely.

A special thanks goes to EAGB for the pointer as well as a rough translation.
