Sometimes you have to do things that nobody particularly likes but just gotta happen. This is one of those times...
In light of the bandwidth/processor hog that the site has become and with SpaceWorld right around the corner we've decided to get rid of our hosted Forums and set up shop in freebie-world. Granted, some people may like the newer digs but most likely people will be disappointed. Well, that's how dat cookie it a crumbles unfortunately... and better the cookie than the site.
So, of course since the other place has a new system that means everyone has to register again and all the other nonsense. Sorry to those of you who have worked hard to prove just how boring your life is by attaining the higher rungs of Forum title-dom... you'll be back to being a newbie. Note that if you're already globally registered with ezBoard, that registration will work fine at the new PGC Forums...just make a post and you're set. This will save some hassle for those of you who have global IDs at the Gaming-Age Forums or other ezBoards.
In the end the important thing to note here is that this move will make for a (hopefully) viewable site when SpaceWorld and E3 come along. You may remember we closed down the Forum at E3 when all it could do was make things more miserable. Additionally it is less for us to maintain and to worry about sucking up bandwidth, now it is someone else's dollar.
Apologies to those who are upset/offended but in the end the senior staff decided this was the best that could be done, and we decided to make a new place so people could at least carry on elsewhere and not be left entirely in the cold.
