S-U-P-E-R's an old fart!

by Billy Berghammer - August 14, 2001, 10:01 pm EDT

S to the U to the P to the E to the R! It's Ty's 20th birthday today! It's time for the spanking machine!

He’s been part of Planet GameCube since its inception. And it’s the man’s birthday today!!! CALL THE COPZ! Someone please give him 2000 dollars so he can buy a DDR machine!

Planet GameCube’s own resident trivia mastah, code guy, video game addict and Dance Dance Revolution powahouse, Ty Shughart has just turned 20.

The man has been in the online Nintendo scene for nearly as long as it has existed. He was the “code guy” for the first N64 fansite anywhere, N64HQ and continued these duties at the 64 Source after HQ closed. Ty’s been associated with various other now-dead websites, including his own noble on-again, off-again project, Don’t Blame Games. Ty has even been accused of actually causing the downfall of any website he happens to come into contact. Although it would be characteristically diabolical of Ty, his friends at Higher Voltage still seem to be running... (EDITOR’S NOTE: Ominously, HerV is down at the moment). Moreover, our own lil’ PLANET is still going strong (but we’ll be sure to fire Ty if financial problems worsen!)!

Seriously, Ty was one of the charter members of PlanetN2000. Hell if it wasn’t for his help, PlanetN2000 would have been a bigger Front Page 2000 mess. He’s the creator of Planet Trivia, and has donated his Friday nights diligently for about 2 years. This guy could be out boozing, and sluttin’, but instead, he kills himself every Friday night to make sure Trivia is a success. God bless the annual Killer Instinct questions, and the world famous Shaq Fu and Mountain Dew references. Friday nights for Nintendophiles haven’t been the same since this guy came Planetside.

You don’t want to play games against Ty, cause he’ll school your ass (most likely). If you think you got skills, you may against your own friends, but not likely against the S-U-P-A-R-M-A-N. It’s TEH TRUTHS! West coast bawlin’ is what itz all about.

Now he’s got a hit single that threatens the likes of Eminem, Weird Al, and the Fat Boys. Yes, if you are looking for Planet GameCube’s very own rising young rap star, look no further than Ty Shughart. It’s his birthday, though it seems we are the ones who have gotten a present. If you haven’t checked out the PGC Forum Theme – More

and More, click HERE. You won’t regret it. Now would you call Carson Daly and make that request for TRL! Next thing you know, it’ll be in a DDR game. You never know. (He’s certainly thrown down the gauntlet for the rest of PGC! Justin Nation, Billy, Max, and Louie are enviously trying to compose their own rhymes—and somebody better tell TYP to put down that accordion!)

Ty doesn’t ask much from Nintendo. Just another KILLER INSTINCT GAME. That’s not too much to ask for is it? Since we’re broke as MFs, and we can’t afford to get Ty a gift, hopefully Nintendo/Rare will come through at Spaceworld with a Killer Instinct announcement!!

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY TY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
