If November is simply too far away, and you must have that smooth GCN controller in your hand as soon as possible, look no further than NCS.
National Console Support are probably the biggest online importer, and they've annouced the price of their import GameCube pacakge.
For $450, you get your GameCube console, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Luigi's Mansion, and a memory card.
The price sounds steep, but this is the going rate for an import bundle.
If you're going to import, do it NOW. Quantities are going to be extremely limited, and you can reach NCS by e-mail to pre-order. They do not charge you until they ship (authorization hold notwithstanding).
