Thanks to IGNCube, we have a report that confirms a second Star Wars game is in the works for GameCube, something PGC told you about just before E3. As suspected, the next game will utilize the Episode II license. LucasArts’ President, Simon Jeffery, confirmed the game’s existence during an online chat event held on July 25th. The chat event allowed registered members of LucasArts' website to ask about future products & many showed up to do just that.

One attendee asked: "Are you planning to release more GameCube games," and Mr. Jeffery’s reply was: "Yes!" Naturally the next question to follow was, "Can you give us some more details on GameCube games?" to this Mr. Jeffery was much more reserved and answered, "All I can say now is that next summer we have some pretty exciting Episode II product."

IGNCube believes that Factor 5 may take up development on the project after it finishes Rogue Leader come November, though we believe it is more likely Factor 5 will resume work on Thornado upon completing Rogue Leader. We’ll see…
