Looks like you won't be able to relive the dream with your mates. Read on for details.

FGNOnline got a chance to speak with the co-director of Rogue Leader from LucasArts. Take a look at two of the highlights:

FGN Online: Out of all the Gamecube titles in development, why was Rogue Leader chosen to be the first title revealed to the press in Next Generation magazine?

Brett Tosti: I don't know why it was chosen to be the first title. But I do know that many of the other developers wanted to wait until E3 to reveal their games. We were approached by NOA and Next Generation and asked if we were interested in doing a cover feature for Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II . We jumped at the opportunity, as we were all anxious to show off Rogue Leader to the world. It was an easy decision to reveal Rogue Leader as Factor-5 managed to get the E3 demo looking very polished and playing great a full 7-8 weeks before the show.

FGN Online: Will you include any multiplayer options?

Brett Tosti: Unfortunately Rogue Leader won't have any multiplayer options. We thought about it, but with deadlines we'd have to sacrifice some of the single player features in order to accommodate multiplayer. Instead of a polished single player game we'd end up with a mediocre single and multiplayer game. As much as we want multiplayer, that sacrifice isn't acceptable to us. Maybe the next gameā€¦
