Last week, we reported about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and its newly announced soundtrack. We’ve known the game was coming to GameCube before it was confirmed back in May. We even scored a preview in anticipation of seeing it running at E3. It wasn’t there—at least not on GameCube, with... Read more...

The latest in Intelligent Systems' turn based strategy series is the first Wars to be released in North America. We're happy to report its Western debut has hit sales charts like a ton of Napalm.

PGC has caught the Advance Wars bug in a very big way. Today, many of us are caught up in the heat of battle, rather, our newfound addiction that is Advance Wars. We're plotting strategies instead of posting updates today, but can you blame us? This is the first Wars game to ever be released in... Read more...

Wave Race Finished GC

by Billy Berghammer - 10:48 pm EDT

Not that I was rushing with Blue Storm at all. Expert kicked my ass, but I kicked back. Skillz baby! Well, I'm in training really...

Yeah, another game falls within a week. I have put a lot more time in Wave Race than I did Luigi's Mansion or Monkey Ball. Single player, multiplayer...you name it. Wave Race is hands down my favorite game of the Nintendo GameCube launch.

Can I be a fan boy for a second?

Wave Race is a religion. Spiritual and elegant. Some cultures would say that it's was the shizat, bizomb, the woot woot, or even...the word.

Luigi's Mansion Finished GC

by Billy Berghammer - 5:02 pm EDT

Well for the first go at it. Mario has been saved and peace restored to the land. No spoilers I promise! So how long did it take?

Yes, I have finished Luigi's Mansion. It was a good time, but too bad it's over. Yes, those rumors of another mansion unlocked are sort of true...It’s not an all new mansion, but I think they just mix some stuff up. I’ll be investigating that later.

It's sad though. It took me around... Read more...

Sadly, the GameCube and Dreamcast version of the mega-hit online RPG Phantasy Star Online will not be playable with each other.

When heavily backed rumors said that the Dreamcast and GameCube versions of Phantasy Star Online version2 would be playable over the internet with each other, some were still skeptical. Looks like it's a dream that has not come true. The GameCube version of PSOv2 features some things that the Dreamcast... Read more...

1080 Snowboarding Cancelled? GC

by Rick Powers - 12:27 am EDT
Source: IGN Cube

The boys at IGN Cube are reporting that 1080 Snowboarding for GameCube has been silently executed ...

No official word from Nintendo or Left Field Productions as of yet, but IGN Cube is on record saying that the sequel to the N64's 1080 Snowboarding (due to come out for GameCube) has been cancelled.

General consensus is that 1080 looked very early in the brief clip shown at Space World 2001, one of the biggest disappointments next to the new look Miyamoto unveiled for Zelda. Apparently Nintendo thought so as well ...

Wheelings and dealings have been underfoot to land the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 soundtrack. Read this story for the details and ignore this headline’s lame attempts to make sk8boarding puns.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (AKA THPS) is a white hot franchise for Activision—and rightfully so! Hands down, the series provides the best skateboarding in a great overall package. Along with stellar graphics and ever-so-sweet gameplay, every edition of THPS has an excellent soundtrack.

Beauty vs. The Beast GC

by Billy Berghammer - 3:40 pm EDT

I got a chance to measure my GameCube controller up to an X-Box controller today. It's pretty much self explanatory.

When I met with Mad Catz today to check out their prototype GameCube controller, I noticed they had an X-Box controller with them. So of course I had to compare the two. Beauty is not only in the eye of the beholder, it's in what the beholder holds...
