announced a federal judge in the U.S. District Court in Seattle,

Shinji Mikami has revealed that there will be major changes to the Resident Evil remake.

According to the Gaming Intelligence Agency, Shinji Mikami, the producer of the Resident Evil series, has stated that the new GameCube remake of Resident Evil will have major changes made from the original PSX version.

In fact, the GIA states that about 70% of the game will differ in some way from the original. Mikami was quoted as saying he wanted to make the remake interesting to those who had played the original.

No new details, but a re-affirmation that things are in the works.

GameSpot has run a portion of an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto that ran in the Japanese publication Mainichi, in which Shiggy briefly addresses Nintendo’s online gaming plans. Miyamoto said that the GameCube already has games that are communicating to the player. Elements such as the ability to exchange and share data between the GameCube and the Game Boy Advance and use the Mobile Adapter GB are a means of communication, Miyamoto said.

Nintendo launches their second GameCube game webiste!

If you don't already know, Nintendo launched the Luigi's Mansion Website a few days ago. Now, they've followed that up by launching the Wave Race: Blue Storm website tonight. The site is all in Flash and has tons of info. Everything from racers to tracks to multiplayer info. Plus there are some really sweet wallpapers to download for your desktop.

Following the success of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (COTM) for GBA, Konami made no secret of its plans for another Castlevania title. Although there have been few official details about the sequel, series producer Koji Igarashi (aka IGA) has been confirmed to be heading up a team composed of veterans of Symphony of the Night (SOTN) and Akumajo Dracula X: Rondo of Blood, which appeared only in Japan for the PC Engine.

Reports have come in across the country that Madden 2002 from EA Sports is now officially on some store shelves. It's not out everywhere, so make sure you call stores before heading out.

Planet GameCube will have impressions coming very very shortly.

Yet another GameCube title in Japan has gotten Famitsu gold. I hope this trend continues (although we'd certainly like to see platinums as well). FIFA 2002 - Road to the World Cup is slated to hit American shores mere days after the GameCube launch (about November 20th).

Nintendo of America has announced the promotion of four indviduals to vice president positions.

Four of Nintendo’s finest were promoted to vice president positions. The four individuals are Leon Feuerberg, Ken Frost, Rob Thompson and Randy Peretzman who combined possess more than 60 years of experience at Nintendo of America. The new Bond game by EA will be sneaking it's way on to the GameCube.

According to IGN's inside sources at EA, the company is planning to release their new James Bond game, Agent Under Fire on the Nintendo GameCube. The game should be arriving on the little purple wonder some time in February 2002. It will most likely be a straight port of the PS2 version.

Nintendo has launched their official site for Luigi's Mansion. The site has some info about the game, and is highly interactive. There is a flash game where you have to play a game of pool with only a vacuum cleaner. Also, check out the "books" you can read, one of them has a nice little surprise for your desktop.

The brand-new developer/publisher has two GameCube and several GBA titles on the way, many of them handheld ports of Electronic Arts games.

Thanks to our friends at AdvanceGB, we now have confirmation that Destination Software, Inc. plans to release a huge number of titles for Nintendo systems in 2002...not bad for a company that was only born this year.
