SouthPeak Games has announced that they will be publishing Music, an educational music title, headlined by renowned composer and author of “Anybody Can Read Music,” Shiro Tsuji. Music will feature an encyclopedia with over 400 musical terms, mini-games, and a variety of lessons and musical quizzes.

The first game in the Battle Network will be reborn on the DS.
In celebration of Mega Man’s upcoming 25th anniversary, Capcom will remake the first game in the Mega Man Battle Network series, known as Rockman EXE in Japan. The remake will be titled “Rockman EXE: Operate Shooting Star.”. According to series producer Ken Horinouchi, it will be the first game in the Battle Network franchise since the series ended 3 years ago.

The developers behind Cave Story and La Mulana create a co-development and publishing partnership.
Recently, Nicalis and Nigoro confirmed that they have forged a co-development and publishing partnership. This deal allows games from both companies to be published and distributed in North America, Japan, and Europe.
Currently, Nicalis is developing Cave Story and Night Game for WiiWare, while Nigoro is responsible for independent games such as Rose & Camellia, Miracle Witch, and La Mulana.

Players won’t have to wait long to experience Guybrush’s newest adventure.
TellTale Games confirmed through their official blog that the first episode of Tales of Monkey Island, titled “Launch of the Screaming Narwhal”, will hit the WiiWare service on July 27 at 1,000 Nintendo Points ($10).
No date has been set for the European release, but TellTale Games promises to have information very soon

Japanese players won't have to pay much for the title.
Japanese retailers have begun accepting pre-orders for Wii Fit Plus, offering two versions of the title.
The Balance Board Bundle will set players back 9,800 Yen (approximately $105). The stand alone version, however, will cost 2,200 Yen (approximately $22), which makes the release one of the few times Nintendo has priced a new title that cheap.

The Wii Fitness title from Sega will see an August release.
Sega of America has announced that they release will their latest Wii title, Daisy Fuentes Pilates, on August 4, 2009, marking the first time a Pilates title comes to the Wii console. Daisy Fuentes Pilates will feature customizable workouts, fitness tracking, and coaching from Daisy Fuentes herself. The title even features Balance Board support.

The video captures footage from all three titles included on this special compilation disc.
Today, Nintendo released a brand new trailer of their upcoming title, Metroid Prime Trilogy. The video contains footage of all three of the titles across various in-game locales.
Players will have the opportunity to revisit the series with brand new Wii pointer controls and achievements in both Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is being re-released on the disc, completing the package.

AiAi and friends return to Wii in this Balance Board-compatible party game.
Sega recently unveiled Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll, the latest game in the Monkey Ball franchise, with a teaser site.
The latest game in the franchise, which began in arcades and first hit consoles in 2001, will be a party game featuring Balance Board controls. A trailer has also been released, although it only shows series star AiAi playing with the Balance Board.

Guitar Hero 5 will include one of Santana's most popular songs as well as his likeness.
Activision recently revealed that Guitar Hero 5 will prominently feature famed guitarist Carlos Santana. Players will have the ability to select Santana as their character and make a digital version of the musician jam to some sublime tunes. In the month of June, Nintendo DS systems outsold all current-generation home consoles combined.
The Nintendo DS topped the NPD Group’s June hardware sales chart by a wide margin. More than 424,000 DSi systems and 342,000 DS systems (Lite and Phat) found their way from retail stores into the hand of gamers. In total over 766,000 DS systems were sold, which is more than the combined sales of the Xbox 360 (240,600), PS3 (164,700), and Wii (361,700) put together.

XSEED Games announced that they will localize the Wizard of Oz-inspired DS RPG, The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road. Licensed by Warner Bros. Players will be able to enjoy the cooperative brawler in September in North America.
Capcom has recently announced that Spyborgs will be released on September 29 in North America, with a price point of $49.99.
Spyborgs is a two-player cooperative brawler where you choose from two of three specially-enhanced cyborgs to stop a former ally turned evil. The game boasts over 35 stages filled with many enemies and challenges to conquer.

Everyone's Nintendo Channel received an update which many new features and enhancements.
Nintendo recently posted an updated version of Everyone's Nintendo Channel in Japan. The channel has a new, sleeker interface that allows for easier navigation.
In addition to the new interface, the updated channel boasts five new features. When you start the channel, you can configure it to view videos in high or standard quality.

Furry Legends, Gamelion Studios' first WiiWare game, will feature a guest appearance by Nyx from the WiiWare game NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits.
According to the Furry Legends twitter page, Gamelion Studios' WiiWare debut will feature a cameo appearance by Nyx from fellow WiiWare developer Over the Top Games' NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits. Nyx is a winged girl who sets out to find her missing friend Icarus. It is unknown how she will fit into Furry Legends.
