S&P for U.S.?

Pretty please?

PlanetN2000 has been demanding a U.S. release of Treasure's Sin & Punishment ever since Billy (and many others) started giving rave reviews back at Spaceworld 2000. A high action shooter with tons of bosses and off-the-hook insanity, S&P features English voice acting & would be a perfect release for N64 this year. After beating the import, Billy reported that the game's credits thank NOA, suggesting a U.S. release. Luckily, thanks to IGN64 & Gamer's Republic Magazine, there is even more indication this might come to pass:

Gamer's Republic: "Was the game planned for the U.S. from the beginning?"

Masato Maegawa (Treasure President): "Yes, it was."

Although nothing was confirmed, it sounds pretty good. Although I have been pretty over-dramatic in calling for a U.S. release in S&P, I know I'm not the only one who wants to see this game stateside. Along with posting the news, IGN64 posted poll resuls listing over 80% interested in buying the game if it was released.

Many of you will remember the record turn out we had for the our Trivia Holiday Event featuring an import copy of S&P as a prize. Our questions were unbelievably hard, leaving many attendees going home disappointed. Hopefully, they won’t be left out in the cold since S&P definitely looks like it’s coming. If we don’t hear anything soon, a S&P release could be one of the things featured at E3.
