Rawk da house!
Miss what happened in N2000 news lately, check out Nintendojo's report in there In Focus:
New details have emerged concerning Nintendo's next system. Long referred to by media types as "N2000" and "N200X," the name Nintendo themselves are using is "Project Dolphin." This was originally reported as a rumor at Operation N2000, a leading site for N2000 info, about a month ago. IGN64 confirmed the rumor earlier this week, unearthing new details about the system as well.
The new system is still currently set to be released in 2000/2001, will likely be DVD, pack a graphical wallop superior to the PS2 and be easier than the N64 to develop for. At least that's what we're IGN has heard from insiders at NOA.
Apparently, Rare, EAD, Retro Studios and NOA's local studio, NST all have development kits. The most recent development involves the confirmation of Mickey Mouse games being developed by Rare for the next system. We'll have more as it breaks.
