Nintendo gives Cygnus Solutions the job of creating GBA dev tools. Exciting stuff...

Thanks to GameSpot for the info. Cygnus Solutions, whom have struck a deal with Nintendo, were given the task of creating software development tools for the GBA. The tools are currently being supplied to Game Boy Advance developers everywhere which would provide them with an environment to rapidly develop game titles. "Cygnus is pleased to provide the software development technologies required to build titles for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance," said Tom Barton, senior vice president of Cygnus Solutions. "As Game Boy technology advanced from the 8-bit systems deployed for the Game Boy to the leading-edge 32-bit systems for the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo turned to Cygnus because we are the leading supplier of open-source development tools for Nintendo's platform. Our partnership with Nintendo further demonstrates Cygnus' key role in delivering industry-standard, high-performance tools and developer support to the video-game marketplace." The Game Boy Advance is set for world wide release in August.
