When I mentioned "riding the porcelain bus" in our New Year's Eve shout out, reader Alex Alverado kindly sent me this adorable picture.

Nintendo sent this out on New Year's Day at 12 AM PST to everyone on their email newsletter list. The card also mentions www.conker.com which is now open and promises that Conker will grace the N64 on March 2, 2001. There was some speculation from IGNCube's Matt Casamassina that Conker might end up moved to the GameCube, along with other Rare's Dinosaur Planet and Silicon Knights' Eternal Darkness (speculation which drove Jon to write this editorial). Still, "Conker's New Year Vomiting" should indicate that Conker's Bad Fur Day will finally be coming to the N64 this year... And that Nintendo is just beginning to shed its kiddie image.

I actually got to ask Matt C. if he ever really thought Conker would make the leap the GC. He said that he didn't, but he was hoping to "persuade" Nintendo/Rare to do so. Nice try, Casamassina. On the other hand, Mr. Matt seems pretty confident that GameCube, not N64, will be getting Dino Planet and Eternal Darkness. Sounds good to me, I just hope Conker won't be the only Nintendo gem in 2001. (Hey NOA! US gamers would love Sin & Punishment! Do we have to scream this from rooftops before you guys get it?!?)
