Mix Core reveals that a part of the Rebirth demo was running in real time... and the whole thing would have been if there was a little more time to prepare.

IGNCube has finally put an article concerning what many of us have been speculating for some time now: that a part of the Rebirth CGI demo was in fact running off the NGC hardware.

Not only was this confirmed by Mix Core but they went even further...

Excerpt from IGNCube:

Mix Core recently elaborated on its Gamecube demonstration entitled, "Rebirth." As IGN reported in September, a portion of the video that was once thought to be pre-rendered is indeed running in real-time on Gamecube's hardware. Mix Core claims that not only is a part of the Rebirth demo running in real-time, but the entire cinematic sequence would have been made in real-time if the team would have had more time to produce the game.

The entire cinematic short running entirely on the NGC hardware? Of course it's obvious that game environments will probably never look like that in this generation, but cut scenes mimicking CGI? Tell us what you think about all of this in the Talkback sections!
