Rareware has updated their webpage with a new edition of Scribes. The Scribe master revealed that a sequel to JFG is not in the works.
When Rare mascots Banjo & Joanna Dark made GC appearences at Space World in brief demos, there was sufficient reason to get somewhat excited. So there may not have seen much in the way of gameplay footage of a "Banjo-Threeie" or "Perfect Dark 2," but the mere presence of these characters was quiet assurance that Gamecube incarnations are on the way. Unfotunately, it looks like the same cannot be said for the Jet Force Gemini crew... Not yet anyway.
In RareWare's latest update to its "Scribes" page, one reader wrote in to ask if Rare would be doing a JFG sequel for Dolphin (musta been an old question). The response? "Not in the works right now, but maybe in the future." As some of you may remember, the JFG team was also responsible for a lil' N64 gem known as Blast Corps. Could the team possibly be working on a BC sequel for GC? Man, I hope so. Of course it's also likely that those rascally rabbits at Rare could be cooking up a whole new franchise. The mind boggles.
