We've discovered the identity of the previously unknown patent of an N64 catridge.

A few days ago we posted a story with some weird pictures taken from the Patent Database of a N64 cartridge that none of us new what they were.

Thanks go to reader Steve Boelcskevy for doing some hardcore investigative work and figuring it out for us.

It is a cartridge for the N64 that was released in Japan-only a couple of years ago that allow people to transfer digital photos taken from certain digital cameras via Smart Card to edit them.

IGN actually ran the story a couple of years ago, and you can check it out by hitting the link in the title.

It's old, like most things that are in the Patent Database, and proves that that resource is not a good source of information for new things.
