Saffire Part 2

by Billy Berghammer - May 12, 2000, 1:06 am EDT

Check it out yo!

PlanetN2000 had an exclusive interview with Dave Rushton, one of the main programmers from Saffire today just outside of E3. We have almost 30 minutes of audio that we will be uploading next week for your listening pleasure. And let me say Dolphin/GBA fans...this is something you don't want to miss.

As I reported yesterday, Saffire didn't have any games in development for Dolphin. As of today, that has changed. Saffire has a number of titles in Development for Dolphin. Dave has reassured us that games on the Dolphin will look much better than the PS2. After seeing what the PS2 is offering at E3, that is extremely good news. Not that PS2 looks all that good here at E3. (I'm not kidding either...more on that later.)

Dave has more than been excited about developing for GBA. As far as Dolphin, they are looking for Publishers before they can really disclose any official confirmation. After seeing the cough, "train video", the Saffire GBC game, as well as meeting the developers, I am extremely excited about Saffire.

I think the interview is much better to hear, than to write a summary. I'll save the best for the Audio. Special thanks to Dave Rushton of Saffire for taking the time to talk to us today. A hot developer like Saffire right now, is extremely busy at an event like this. Much more from Saffire later on! Well, I'll leave you with this quote.

"We want to make Fun Games, and great games. If it isn't fun, and it isn't great...I don't want my name on it." ~ Dave Rushton.
