And for those of you who need discs, they have your back.

Comcept has announced that Mighty No 9 will be releasing on September 15 in NA and September 18 for the rest of the world, with the 3DS version to follow at a later date.

The company also announced that they are partnering with Deep Silver to produce a physical version of the game which will release on the same date and will include the Ray DLC for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99. The DLC includes an extra playable character and stage, and will also be given to all Kickstarter backers.

The 3DS version has been delayed to a later date as according to the developer, “The handheld versions were originally meant to be simpler ports, but we found that the amount of work necessary exceeded our expectations—the 3DS and Vita versions will actually require remaking the game from the ground up.”.

This game was built with the Unity engine, wasn't it?

If that's the case, I don't know why they would have to rebuild the game for Vita considering Vita supports Unity IIRC.

Vita's support for Unity is apparently... suboptimal. Like, using one core of the four in the Vita processor suboptimal. Final Fantasy Agito's Vita port is on long-term hold because of it.
