North American fans have a chance to get some cool swag with the new title.

The Nintendo World Store in New York City will be selling an Limited Edition Hyrule Warriors bundle. The bundle, exclusive to the store, includes a copy of the game and a scarf modeled after the one Link wears in this adventure.

The store will not be accepting pre-orders for the bundle. Those hoping to buy this set will have to be at the store at 8 a.m. on September 26. Quantities will be limited.

Earlier this year the Nintendo World Store also sold a similar exclusive bundle for Mario Kart 8.

What a bunch of poop.....

NOA does realize that the United States is a really large country, right, and that most of the country's population doesn't live within driving distance of the largest city like some Old World country?

I assume the intention is to get a line going at the store for PR purposes instead of providing a collectable for the fans.  A lineup might get on the news and work as free advertising.  Still it's annoying that a bunch of guys are going to make some nice dough on eBay because they happen to live in the right geographical area.  A lot of games have collector's editions these days so a nationwide promotion would sell well and at a higher price than the normal version as well.

Two things about this news.  First, I was really looking forward to the limited edition of this game, but the treasure box version.  I have very little faith that the scarf here is of a high enough quality to want to use or display, and I already have a pattern to knit one that's actually nice, so this limited edition that we are getting in NA isn't that appealing.

Second, I'm going to assume that NoA is really not sure about this game's sales potential, meaning that trying to go nationwide with this would involve anywhere from an overproduced box that won't sell to a Ni no Kuni Wizard's Edition limited supply fiasco.  Regardless, this news still kinda chaps my rear, as I'm sure it will sell out, and the wrong lesson will be learned by the company.

Well as BS as I think this is, I will get mine there. The bus from downtown Philly to New York City is only like $12 and runs all day long. I was going up there for Smash 4 3DS as well. Might get a couple of friends and make it a thing.

The amusing part is, that by buying this edition, you lose out on the Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop exclusive bonus.  But, hey, those'll be sold later. :D

Scarf is worth not having/paying for costumes.

Oh, I agree - and would still rather have this version... just find it funny that Nintendo is undercutting the exclusives of the other retailers.

If you happen to know anyone working by a dock and a few of these fall of a truck or something, let me know.

Announced around 17 days before release and only in one area. Yeah, that isn't stupid at all.
They should have made that damn scarf available everywhere.

Man, I'm surprised this is such a contentious issue.  I get there are a lot of collectors out there, but It's funny such a minor thing like a scarf, which I rarely see anyone wear, would get people so out of sorts about.

Oh just make the damn scarf available through Club Nintendo.
