Discount on NES titles if you own either NES Remix for the Wii U!

Europe will see four weeks of Virtual Console discounts on the Wii U, starting July 24th. The announcement was made via Twitter this past Saturday.

Following last week's promotion on both NES Remix entries, the Virtual Console service on Wii U will be offering various discounts on classic games. Instead of the usual €4.99*, games will cost €2.49* for seven titles starting this Thursday. The games that will kick off the promo are Clu Clu Land, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Super Mario Bros., Ice Hockey, The Legend of Zelda and Urban Champion.

The discounts for the following weeks are yet to be confirmed and it is unclear if North America will see a similar promotion.

*Due to the different pricing on each Virtual Console game in the United Kingdom, we cannot include the pricing in pounds at this point in time.

Pfft, we Americans don't need your fancy 'eshop sales' or 'virtual console releases'. We Americans prefer to live the simple life and we don't need to be coddled like the sissy Japanese/European markets.

Even if they do it in America, $2.49 is at least 248 cents too expensive for Urban Champion.
