Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.? Your guess is as good as mine.

Nintendo recently registered a trademark entitled Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace.

While it does suggest a new IP on Nintendo's front, this could essentially mean nothing in the long run. No details were specified other than the name.

One thing is for sure, we'll stay on our toes and report further announcements regarding this. What would you like this to turn out to be? Drop a comment!

Valve/Steam won't allow this.

I'd hope it's a collab with Sandlot (EDF, Reginleiv) or SHADE (Onslaught, Destroy Gunner) but that's probably not the case. The pun sounds more like something a western eShop dev would come up with.

Clearly it's the return of Project H.A.M.M.E.R.  :P:

Given that 'Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace' doesn't actually make any sense, I have no idea what this could be.

Hopefully it's just a protective trademark for a much better game title.

FPS made by Nintendo

What if it actually IS Steam?

Guess we can say goodbye to any possibility of EA's "Unprecedented Partnership" ever happening if that happens

I'm just throwing this out there, but what if Nintendo partnered up with valve and implemented the nintendo eshop on valve's new steam machines.

Valve brings its games to the Nintendo platforms in exchange for the Virtual Console on STEAM boxes? hmm

You know I wouldn't be surprised if we find out Hammer elements end up in what ever this thing is. What ever it is it sounds like people shoot things with lasers and there will be a strong online component to it.

Star Fox is truly no more!
