Get ready for a brand new Metroidvania title filled with action, puzzles and secrets to uncover!

forma.8 will be coming to the Wii U eShop and other systems in the third quarter of 2014. The developer, MixedBag, described the title as a take on the Metroidvania formula.

In forma.8, players take control of a small exploration probe, which mysteriously parted ways with its companions. The ship will float in midair while exploring various environments and dealing with its not so friendly inhabitants. forma.8 starts with no powers, weapons or even a slightest hint about what to do next and it will be up to the player to discover what secrets the game is hiding. Everything is communicated through imagery and sounds, so keeping eyes and ears wide open is your key to victory.

Co-founder of MixedBag, Mauro Fanelli, commented:

“I’m so excited to finally reveal forma.8 for consoles, mobile, tablets and computers. I think it’s amazing that the first game announced for a next-generation console from an Italian team is an indie project made by an indie team. It wouldn’t have been possible just a few years ago. A massive thanks to Sony and Nintendo for the support, and to Unity for making it possible”.

Along with the Wii U, the game will be hitting the PS4, PS Vita, iOS and PC. If you live in the United Kingdom, forma.8 will make its playable debut at EGX Rezzed in Birmingham, taking place between the 28th and 30th of March.
