Physical copies of the game are scarce on the shelves.

The physical copies of the Nintendo 3DS game Rune Factory 4 are in short supply in North America.

"We've received quite a few inquiries asking about Rune Factory 4 since it's been difficult to find in stores in North America. Don't worry! It's just been selling well beyond our expectations, so we're working as quickly as possible to restock physical copies" publisher XSEED said on their official Facebook page.

Released in October, Rune Factory 4 is the final game developed by Neverland, who is also the developer of the Lufia RPG series. They closed doors in November, a month after the game was released in North America.

Amazon has it in stock. With Prime shipping too!

Ha! I already have a copy. Glad I do too since it is in short supply. Now I need to actually play it...

Just got this yesterday off Amazon. Didn't realize the game was in short supply. I haven't been able to go back to the Harvest Moon series since I played Rune Factory: Frontier.

It's not even released in Europe.

Glad to see the game is selling nicely.

Now I just need to hope for a Wii U version.

Nintendo could really take a page out of the Harvest Moon/Rune Factory book for the Animal Crossing series.

I don't think there's going to be a Wii U game or any more Rune Factory games since the company that developed them went out of business. Though I don't know who owns the IP, so I guess there could be more from a different dev, though who knows if that would be for better or worse.

I had thought that Natsume was the overall owner of the property. Though if it did die with the developer I may try and go pick up all of the older ones.
