Finally the GamePad lives up to its initial reveal!

Wii Sports Club: Golf will be available today for Wii U.

The game has the added ability to use the GamePad as a second screen showing the ball on the ground while swinging, similar to the golf tech demo shown for the system in the past.

Talkback

Man, I wish they'd release boxing.

Wii Sports Club will also be automatically pushed to Wii U systems, where space is available.

Wait, it does that? I don't want things automatically put on my console.

Yup. I got Wii Sports Club automatically downloaded to my console when it originally came out. Plus an info channel for Wii Fit U. Very annoying.

You guys know that you can opt out of auto-downloads, right? I, for one, find it incredibly convenient to have this stuff pushed to my system and ready for me to play as soon as I get home. I can't wait to see how online multiplayer will be with golf.

Obviously, I didn't. Was that since launch? I may have shut it off then forgotten about it. I don't recall seeing anything new  I didn't know I downloaded on the menu screen. I'll have to check tonight.

Auto-downloads are good for system updates and such. But not really for things I don't want.

There should be a sub-menu for the auto-downloads with options as to what you consent to, but Nintendo is new to this. Go make complaints and see if we get changes in future updates.

I know I complained about the price of the Wii Sports Club Games, but I must admit that I am tempted by the Golf just for use of the Pad on the ground like the reveal video...
I'm not even into golf in real life, but I've some great times with Tiger Woods games in the past (PS2 & Wii) and the Wii Sports one was entertaining enough to play off an on for many months. $4.99 would get quick consideration. $9.99 is a tough pill to swallow. Nintendo needs a Holiday eShop Sale.

Does anyone know how many holes this offers? I'm trying to find more detail on this yet all I can find is the new features with the Gamepad and the fact it offers online play now.

I'm pretty sure you have to actually opt-in to game downloads... it was part of the most recent update...
