Mutant Mudds isn't your only option for water cannon action this Summer!

WayForward just released a new trailer for their upcoming 3DS eShop title Mighty Switch Force! 2, and announced that the game will release in North America on June 13 and Europe on June 27.

Mighty Switch Force! 2 features the same block-switching puzzle action that fans of the first game will enjoy, but this time around the heroine, Patricia, is equipped with a water cannon that will help her solve even more dastardly puzzles. Check out the trailer below.

I enjoyed the first game quite a bit, but watching this trailer just made me realise something...I don't think I want more.

I don't know what you're talking about, that looked freaking awesome. Though I was hoping for a simultaneous Wii U/3DS release.

NEW GAME GET!

I liked first game, but getting all pars on all levels sometimes felt like a chore than a game. I remember how i got 15 pars or something to unlock further levels and then i lost my 3DS.

When i bought new 3DS XL the mere thought of doing this all over again stopped me from buying Might Switch Force again.

The new fire fighting mechanic is sure nice though...

I have the original on Wii U. It's good. Not sure if I can bring myself to buy the sequel either though I loves me some WayForward Technologies. Getting those par times was addicting, but oh so frustrating. I never finished the game so if there's a Wii U version of the sequel, I'll likely still pass or at the very least, wait for a sale.

EDIT: I love WayForward Technologies so much that I misspelled their name. Oh, the shame!

I also thought that Mighty Switch Force's equivalent of the DK Blast Barrels, I'm not sure of what they're called, were over utilised towards the end of the game. There was one level in particular that frustrated me that was a level comprised of nothing but those 'blast boxes'. I thought it was really obnoxious. So, for me personally, it's a little discouraging to see them feature so prominently in the trailer for the sequel.

Do we have any idea what the price is going to be this time?

I believe I heard $5.99 for the price.
