Two great Capcom brawlers coming to the eShop in HD with online multiplayer

Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara will be releasing on the Wii U eShop June 18, priced at $14.99. Originally announced at PAX East this year, it will be a collection of Capcom's two Dungeons & Dragons themed brawlers: Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara.

The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy Studios (Dark Void, Darkstalkers Resurrection) and published by Capcom. It will feature HD visuals, drop-in/drop-out online co-op, customizable house rules, and several other new features.

Not a genre that everyone will appreciate, but these were fantastic arcade games and well worth replaying with a few buddies. Good to hear they will be available on Wii U - hopefully they find an appreciative audience.

If the online is VERY WELL implemented, this might be awesome.  MIGHT.

I can't wait. These games were worth a trip to the arcade themselves, back in the day... this is also the best gaming information I've had the pleasure of commenting on/writing about all day. ;)

I keep wondering how much I care about online play, but then realize that I have nobody close enough with time to come play... so yeah, it matters. Playing with friends in the same room would be infinitely preferable for me. That just doesn't happen so often anymore (except for some epic Toejam & Earl sessions on Wii VC a year or two ago).
