Nintendo's very own Mario vs. DK-game-making factory did indeed make the 3DS eShop sequel.

Nintendo Software Technology, commonly known as NST, is the team behind the forthcoming 3DS eShop title Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move.

A Nintendo representative confirmed the information to us, which comes as no surprise considering that NST has made the four previous games in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, which have come out on Game Boy Advance, DS, and DSiWare. NST also recently developed Crosswords Plus on 3DS and Aura-Aura Climber on DSiWare. Based in Redmond, Washington, the studio has also worked on games such as Metroid Prime: Hunters and Wave Race: Blue Storm in the past.

No word on if Sonic the Hedgehog co-creator Hirokazu Yasuhara, who joined the company in 2012, had any hand in Minis on the Movie or if he is working on something else at NST.

Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move is coming out on the North American 3DS eShop on May 9.
