Like Zombi U? Like it for 30 percent less?

A sale on Ubisoft Wii U games is happening now on the North American Wii U eShop.

The sale, which reduces the price of games 30%, includes: ZombiU, Assassin's Creed III, Just Dance 4, Rabbids Land, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013, and ESPN Sports Connection.

The sale began on February 19 and will end on February 26.

Talkback

Nice. Will now seriously consider AC3 and ZombiU.
Ubisoft is earning back my love  :-*

Thinking about ACIII, but don't really want to use 17gb of my storage for this game.

What say you Assassin's Creed 3 owners? Is it worth it?

I own it but haven't started it yet. So I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Can you do it at a retailer because I need my memory

KDR_11kFebruary 20, 2013

You pretty much need an external HDD for the Wii U if you want to download stuff, every game is going to be this big.

I've just checked and this sale doesn't apply to Europe. sad.

You've got a 'meh' from me. I'm about 1/2 way through and I just can't pick it back up.

Though bear in mind, I'm one of the few people who enjoyed the old control scheme, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

I'd say get the disk so you can maybe resell it if you get sick, but sadly the deal is only eShop.

Toys R Us usually has a B2G1 free sale in the April/May time period.  If you can wait for that, you can get the physical copy and get 33% off.

That's another reason I'm meh on DLC.  The sales just don't seem that great.  3/4 of the games I received for the Wii U came with the Target B2G1 sale before Christmas.

Assassin's Creed only gets good when it stops holding your hand, which is unfortunately half way through the game. But at least during that first half, you get ship battles.

Once it lets go, it really is fun to figure out how to kill your target; whether that means killing everyone and everything in your path with well executed timing or killing the fewest amount of people with excellent timing and cunning.

I'd say get it if you liked the other games.

Haven't played multiplayer but it looks interesting.

ShyGuyFebruary 20, 2013

The only other AC game I played was the first one, which was a disappointment. The graphics and animations were great, but the gameplay was dry and sparse.

It seems like the first game was a disappointment to everyone. Most people seem to say it didn't get good until the second one.

TJ SpykeFebruary 20, 2013

I do remember the first one get really medicore reviews when it came out, with people saying the graphics were good but the game was buggy and not very fun.

But like another Ubisoft property in Red Steel, the lousy first one sold well enough to get a sequel that was actually pretty good.

If you don't already have an external hard attached to your Wii U, you might as well buy one cause you'll need it eventually. I bought one when I tried to download NBA 2K13 and didn't have enough space. With 2TB I figure I'll never have a problem again.

Fatty The HuttFebruary 22, 2013

Is it still true you have to be careful to get an external HDD with its own power source or something like that? Also, are they expensive?

CericFebruary 22, 2013

Sort of interesting is that the drives that have external Power are the more expensive multi-Terabytes ones it seems...

I have a bus-powered USB drive and bought a Y-cable like Nintendo mentioned and it works great.

I wish I understood that. I want to understand it.
For the lay-person, you plug what into what now? Please and thank you?

Bus-powered means it gets its power from the USB cable and doesn't have to be plugged into the wall. Most USB drives that work that way need more power than the USB ports on the Wii U can provide, but you can use a special cable to connect the drive to two ports at once, called a Y cable, which provides enough power to use the drive with the system.

LouieturkeyFebruary 22, 2013

I loved ACII, Brotherhood and Revelations.  All three were fun games.  I've played a bit of ACIII and I've enjoyed it too. I just haven't had the time to play.  I may change that soon though.

CericFebruary 22, 2013

I do have to wonder why the USB ports on the Wii U don't adhere to the Standard in that way.

YOU, Sir, are a Gentleman.
All is now clear. Thank you.
