If you bought Crosswords Plus or Art Academy on the eShop, watch your inbox.

Nintendo has begun to send out codes for Donkey Kong: Original Edition to those who qualified.

The game, a modified version of Donkey Kong for the NES that includes the level that was originally cut from it, is being given away for free to people who buy select 3DS retail titles through the eShop and register them on Club Nintendo. Those who bought and registered either Crosswords Plus or Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone from the eShop are starting to receive download codes via email from Nintendo.

Nintendo is not offering this game for sale, and is currently making it available only through this promotion.

Can you still get the code if you buy one of the eligible games?

Yes, you get the code if you buy one of the games and register it on Club Nintendo before January 6.
