The HD version of The Amazing Spider-Man, which was released earlier this year on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, will be recieving a Wii U port. This was announced during Marvel's video game-focused New York Comic Con panel.

This updated version of the game, developed by Beenox, will include all the downloadable content released for the software. This includes the Rhino Challenge Pack, the Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack, the Lizard Rampage Pack and the special Stan Lee Adventure Pack. The Amazing Spider-Man on Wii U will also feature optional motion controls, as well as the option to control the interface of the Osphone on the touch screen of the Wii U GamePad.

A specific release date for The Amazing Spider-Man wasn't given, but we can expect the title to launch on Wii U somewhere in spring 2013.
