If you shop at certain stores, you may have a chance to get some exclusive Skylanders goodies.

Several Skylanders Giants exclusives are heading to various retail stores, according to an anonymous source.

Each of the stores appear to have their own exclusive content. The following retailers will have this Skylanders content available:

  • Toys R Us - Legendary 3-Pack and a Legendary Giant
  • Target - Giant Granite Crusher Re-Paint
  • Amazon - Gold Flameslinger
  • GameStop - Battle Pack Re-Paint
  • Walmart - Starter Kit w/ Glow-in-the-Dark Cynder and Glow-in-the-Dark Portal
  • Sam's Club - Starter Kit w/ Glow-in-the-Dark Cynder and Glow-in-the-Dark Portal

These are the current retailer exclusive Skylanders merchandise we know of as of now.

Skylanders Giants is due out for Wii and 3DS on October 21. The Wii U version will be out for the system's launch on November 18.

Well I just let out a whole string of expletives. It was Hell tracking them all down last time. I hope this are only timed exclusives and not actual ones.

Pretty sure none of these are timed-exclusives.

Could be worse, they could be exclusive AND bundled with the game (so the only way to get them is buying multiple copies of the game or buying them on eBay).

Now that you mention it, there is going to be an exclusive version of Tree Rex... bundled with not only the game, but with PS3 systems... :D

SacredKeldeoOctober 04, 2012

They cannot be bundled because the starter packs include GITD Cynder, GITD Portal of Power and the game

I've got a feeling that Mold Tree Rex may be on it's way

That reminds me did everyone get there Mini Skylanders from the Frito Promotion.  I haven't used them in game yet but they are cute figures.

I held off Pre-ordering for a while because I didn't want to miss an exclusive.  If the Walmart Starter Pack came with a Wired/Wireless portal for PS3 I be tempted to buy a second portal.  That thing eats batteries.

I got my sidekicks... though I had some issues with Frito Lay and my fourth one, they did finally all arrive.  :D

As for the Wireless Portal situation - I had that same issue with the Wii version.  Until I got smart and just used my 3DS portal with the USB cable that it came packed with. :D

I thought about that.  I think I even tried it and it didn't work.  Worth another try though.
