Australian gamers can look forward to Penny Arcade Expo next year!
The Penny Arcade Expo, otherwise known as PAX, will be making its way down under next year.
In attempt to emulate the success of the two popular gaming conventions in the States - PAX East and PAX Prime, president of Penny Arcade operations Robert Khoo states that the move to Australia is less about expanding the franchise and more about giving gamers what they want. In his eyes, the expo will expand to where it's needed and continue for as long as people want it to.
The decision to move to Australia as the first international branch came when the staff realized how much of their merchandise was being shipped there, and began to appreciate the population of hardcore gamers in Australia.
In terms of content, the Australian show will be identical to those in USA, featuring panels, concerts and of course, games galore. No word has yet surfaced on a venue city at this stage.
The trek to the land down under isn't the only new development in store, either.
The Seattle expo is being extended by one day, and there's already talk of a PAX UK in the foreseeable future.
