Mario will be all about the gold in this latest New Super Mario Bros. title.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 was highlighted at Nintendo's E3 press conference. While the game was officially announced at last month's Nintendo Direct event, this is the first time the game was formally presented to the media.

One of the new features from this New Super Mario Bros. game is that the theme will be all about gold. Gameplay footage featured everything from gold coins to gold colored enemies, and even a gold colored Metal Mario.

Details were scarce, but it was promised that more details would be revealed during a special 3DS press conference tomorrow.

Would be more appropriate as New Wario Land.

I was just coming here to say that.

Wouldn't racking up an insane amount of coins cause never having a Game Over??? I mean really! Once this game launches and you have fewer than 100 lives, you are obviously very bad at Mario games!
This game must get really difficult maybe...

Someone find out if there's a Mario vs. Luigi mode in this one.

Saw the box art posted on GoNintendo - and there's a Nintendo Network logo on the box... :D

My guess is that there will be online leaderboards of some kind.

Maybe the Mushroom Kingdom has been having trouble with inflation lately...
