The pre-existing website will also be updated in the coming months.

Global Link will be compatible with Pokémon Black and White 2, as reported by Serebii.

In addition, new features will be added to the website in the upcoming months. A rebrand of the Battle Union has been confirmed, alongside confirmation that the Dream World will be making a return to the upcoming sequels. Furthermore, the time cut-off between sessions will reduce from 24 hours to 20 hours. New areas will also be added, one of which is named Cool Hole.

It was also announced that a new Global Trade Station feature will be added to the new update, allowing players to check history of GTS usage as well as various statistics. The records for GTS and GBU will now be reported through a Report feature.

The update has been reported to have a new special feature for those owning both Black or White as well as Black 2 or White 2, though details on such a feature are currently unknown.

The global link was a nice touch but it is still only a tease for the kind of connectedness/social interactions I'm longing for in future Pokemon games.

... still look forward to that damn Pokedex3D update everyday though! I'm addicted to Pokemons!

I would be too, if it wasn't for the fact that Nintendo will probably charge $15 for it (since it's like 1,500 yen in Japan).

Oh sorry, I was referring to how the 'dex updates with new Pokemon every day.  Y'know, the three that download (unlock) every day you connect to the interweb?

As for that expansion or whatever, I doubt it will be free, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was cheaper than in Japan.  Everyone thought Monster Hunter would have a fee in the West... some things just translate differently in terms of value.

The $15 fee is one I have seen as rumored since the Japanese price converts to about $18.

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't realize you mention the updates to the current one. Still annoys me that it will never be complete for me since I don't know anyone else with a 3DS and you can't get them all by yourself.
