Three Game Boy classic games will arrive this year in Europe.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Metroid II: Return of Samus and Bionic Commando will arrive on the 3DS Virtual Console during the fourth quarter in Europe.

North American and Japanese release lists have yet to confirm a release by the end of the year, but considering the popularity of the titles, gamers around the globe may have the chance to play these titles by this holiday season.

Minor, but there's no "The" in the Metroid game (it's Metroid II: Return of Samus).

Anyways, never played any of the three but Mario and Bionic Commando almost always get good reviews (Metroid II is more divisive, some like it and some hate it).

I've never really given Metroid 2 much of a shot, despite my love for Metroid. I'd probably throw 4 bucks at that.  I played the crap out of Super Mario Land 2 as a kid, but really, it's a few steps down from the real Mario games. Still good I suppose.

Wario Land 2, on the other hand, is awesome. Gimme some of that.

The GB got a completely different version of Bionic Commando, right?

From what Wikipedia says, it's basically the same as the NES version but with a futuristic setting (though the encounters with enemy vehicles remain side-scrolling, rather than switching to top down view like on NES).

What Metroid II needs is a remake to make it playable, and this probably means that won't be happening now. Oh well, at least Super Mario Land 2 is a cool game.

Metroid II was my first game in the series. It may just be nostalgia, but I think that game holds up rather well for it's age. I'm not sure a remake is necessary.
