The Game Boy line-- both the older Game Boy Color and the newer Game Boy Advance-- is a product of Japanese game giant Nintendo and it has a virtual monopoly on the handheld gaming market worldwide. The company says it has Nintendo's support for first-of-its-kind device.

The Japanese DVD/NGC hybrid gets cheaper.

Following GameCube pricedrops around the world, Panasonic has finally dropped the price of the Panasonic GameCube/DVD player hybrid “Q” by 5000 yen, from 39,800 yen to 34,800—approximately $290 in U.S. Dollars. At the 4th Japan Expo in Paris, France Nintendo will be exhibiting some of their newest GameCube games during July 5-7. Games on display include Super Mario Sunshine, Legend of Zelda, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Mario Party 4, Animal Forest and Star Fox Adventures with 25 consoles playable.
