Based on the popular European tabletop football (soccer) series, Subbuteo will head to Europe with stylus control, customization, and online play.
505 Games announced last week that they will be bringing the popular tabletop football (soccer) series, Subbuteo, to the DS in September. The game will use stylus-based controls to replicate the tabletop game and also feature customization options like player-created tournaments, team and player creation, and logo design. The game will also feature online play using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.

The DS game will tell an earlier portion of the Mushroom Men story and is set to release before the Wii game.
Gamecock Media Group recently revealed some of the back story and details of their new Wii and DS series, Mushroom Men. Developed by Red Fly Studios, each title will tell a different piece of the story, starting with the DS title.

The rerelease of the classic title will feature touch screen functionality, wireless play mode, and a new dungeon.
Square Enix announced today, following the overseas rumblings from yesterday that Chrono Trigger is officially coming to the Nintendo DS.
The enhanced rerelease of the classic title will receive unique DS features, including a dual screen display and touch screen functionality. Additionally, the title will introduce a wireless play mode and a brand new dungeon, of which no details are currently known.

The most recent issue of Jump Magazine and a Square Enix countdown page confirm the long-rumored project.
SquareEnix launched a new website today in Japan that confirms news from the most recent issue of Jump Magazine: the SNES classic Chrono Trigger is being ported to the DS. The new site features a clock similar to the iconic RPG's logo as well as the ticking sound heard in the introduction sequence of the SNES game.

Nintendo wants to focus on manufacturing the current model for now.

Activision introduces the next multi-platform Call of Duty game to the Wii, including two player co-op and unspecified online play.
Call of Duty: World at War will take players into the series' untouched South Pacific theatre, with additional missions in Europe. As U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers, players will utilize features like cooperative gameplay and new weapons such as the flamethrower. The Wii version will receive a "unique co-op mode for two players" although it won't have the online co-op capabilities of the other versions.

America gets a new Nintendo WiiWare title and the second iteration of Fatal Fury on the Neo-Geo for the Virtual Console.

Though announced last September by Famitsu Weekly, SNK Playmore confirms that the DS title is headed to America.
SNK Playmore and Ignition Entertainment announced today that the latest iteration of the Metal Slug series will also be receiving an American release. Between Metal Slug Anthology on Wii and this DS title, Nintendo is the only company to have full representation of the series on its platforms.

The video game based off of the upcoming Disney/Pixar film is now out for the DS and Wii.
THQ announced that their latest game for the DS and Wii, WALL-E, is now in stores. The game is based off of the highly anticipated Disney/Pixar film of the same name and is developed by Heavy Iron Studios. It follows the storyline of the movie and also adds in additional content that will not be seen in theatres. It will also include voice work from the film's stars and the work of the acclaimed sound designer Ben Burtt.

Developers of Luminous Arc and World Destruction help fill RPG void in the Wii's library
Yet again Famitsu Weekly has revealed a new title in development for a Nintendo system. Marvelous is bringing Wii owners a traditional RPG from Image Epoch, Arc Rise Fantasia.
Arc Rise Fantasia will feature a graphical style similar to that found in tri-Ace games. The title will also feature a widescreen option for 16:9 users to take advantage of.
