The Tale of Two Towns will be released for the two handhelds this summer.

Natsume announced today their newest Harvest Moon game, Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns for both 3DS and DS.

The game focuses on two neighboring towns that have become bitter rivals. The player will get to pick which town they want to live in, either the "animal-loving" European hamlet of Bluebell or the plant farming Eastern-styled village of Konohana. As in other Harvest Moon games the player will establish a farm, strive to be a successful farmer, and establish relationships with the villagers. The ultimate goal of The Tale of Two Towns is to reunite the villages.

Harvest Moon: the Tale of Two Towns is slated for a release this summer.

Natsume Bringing Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns to 3DS & DS This Summer

Burlingame, CA., April 7, 2011 - Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, announced today that Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns is coming to North America, and will be released simultaneously on both the Nintendo DS and the 3DS.

"We're extremely excited to be bringing The Tale of Two Towns to these two great platforms," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. "We wanted to ensure that all of our loyal Harvest Moon fans would have a chance to play this game. No matter which version they pick up, they're sure to love the great new cast of characters, the fun festivals, and the exciting new gameplay mechanics."

Konohana and Bluebell villages were once the friendliest of neighbors. Then a huge dispute erupted between them.over FOOD! Both towns were certain that their cooking was the best in the world. This feud has transformed these happy neighbors into bitter rivals.

As a new farmer to the area, players choose which village to live in. Will it be Eastern-styled Konohana with its abundant fields of crops, or the animal-loving, European-styled Bluebell? Players will pick a home, build a thriving farm, and compete in a huge variety of festivals. If they develop their skills enough, and they might even find a way to bring these two towns together once again!

Talkback

no thankyou. If it was only for 3ds I would consider it, but since its for both I'm thinking the 3ds version will only be slightly better if not worse. I haven't played a harvest moon since Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon and I got bored of that. The lack of polish of the franchise is what really makes me angry.

This will have to tide me over until Friends of Mineral Town comes out for the 3DS Virtual Console.
