Nintendo's skipping PAX, but at least Nintendo games will be there.
Sydney based developer Nnooo will showcase three games at PAX East this year; one is for 3DS, and another for Wii U.
At booth 118, Nnooo will be showing off Blast 'Em Bunnies on 3DS. It's an endless shooter, wherein carrot rifles among other weapons are used to fend off hordes of evil bunnies.... Read more...

More and more characters just keep coming.
Four new characters have been confirmed to be in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call. Eiko from Final Fantasy IX, Jecht from Final Fantasy X, Fran from Final Fantasy XII and Noel from Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be making appearances in the game.

GameSpy is ceasing hosting of online games on May 31.

The Wii U Deluxe set is available refurbished at a “temporarily reduced” price of $200 at store.nintendo.com. The set includes a refurbished black Wii U Deluxe 32 gigabyte system and a physical copy of Nintendoland.
This system is eligible for the Digital Deluxe promotion. However, this system is not eligible for Club Nintendo registration coins. The system is covered under a year warranty.

The Fire Pro Wrestling creator has passed away.
Masato Masuda, best known as the developer of the Fire Pro Wrestling series, has passed away at the age of 48, Suda_51 revealed via Twitter.
Originally developed for the PC Engine (TurboGrafx-16) in 1989, the Fire Pro Wrestling series spanned across a number of systems, including titles for the Super Famicom as well as the Game Boy Advance. The latest release in 2012 was for the Xbox 360.

Gear up worldwide for more details on the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game!
A Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct is slated to stream this Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT in North America. The Direct will also be hitting other regions simultaneously airing in the UK at 11 p.m. and on April 9 at midnight in Europe, 7 a.m. in Japan, and 8 a.m. in Australia. The focus of this direct will be to provide more details about the upcoming Super Smash Bros. titles for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. No specifics were mentioned.

Looks like there's a little bit of something for everybody this week.
There's a good variety in the eShop this week! The GameBoy Advance games finally start rolling out on the Wii U Virtual Console, while a new free-to-play title is on the 3DS eShop. The Dark Knight comes back with a Deluxe Edition, and there's even a pill-poppin' discount.

Cult County is now on Kickstarter, with a funding goal of $580,000. The game will be developed by Renegade Kid, the team behind the Dementium DS games and recent eShop title Mutant Mudds.

Monster Hunter Frontier G hasn't performed as well as expected.
Capcom has cut its forecast for net profit in half from 6.8 billion yen (roughly $66.1m) to 3.3 billion yen ($28.9m).
They contribute this cut to “rapid changes taking place in the market for games,” stating that their expectations for Monster Hunter Frontier G and “mobile contents” have been lower than expected.

Retro Studios is not helping with Mario Kart 8, according to a Nintendo representative. The representative did add the caveat "not to [his] knowledge" but also expressed doubt that there was even a chance that Retro Studios helped out.

Play pink for Kirby.
To celebrate the launch of Kirby: Triple Deluxe, a new pink and white 2DS will release the same day on May 16 in the UK.
It's available for pre-order in the Nintendo UK store for £109.99. A stylish silver carrying case is also available for pre-order for £7.99.
While this is in celebration of the latest Kirby installment, the game will not be bundled with the system.

The upcoming strategy RPG with Tales characters is coming to the 3DS.
Tales of the World: Reve Unitia is in development for the Nintendo 3DS.
Revealed in the latest issue of Jump magazine in Japan, it will be a strategy RPG featuring Bandai Namco's Tales characters, including Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia. It seems to be based on a mobile only title, Tales of the World. The main story of the game will feature full voice acting.

On March 27, the Australian Classification Board classified ratings for two Game Boy Advance games.
F-Zero: GP Legend received a "G" for the general audience rating, while Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow was given an "M" for mature. The listings also classify the games to be multi platform, though no light has been shed as to if these will make it to the Wii U eShop.

Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros., posted a picture of Luigi's Final Smash on Miiverse. It displays Luigi powering up with the Poltergust 5000--the vacuum/ghost catcher used explicitly in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
Sakurai stated in the post, "Luigi might be thinking, 'Who would've thought I'd get to show off the Poltergust in Super Smash Bros.?!' Wondering if it's going to suck something in? Yeah, it probably will."
