Be prepared to shake your Wii Remote in a musical fashion on October 20.
Nintendo has announced the release date for Wii Music. Slated to hit stores on October 20, Wii Music will allow amateur musicians to play like pros with easy-to-use controls and over 60 instruments. Featuring a music selection ranging from classical to Nintendo, Wii Music allows played to put their own spin on the included songs. These songs can then be forward to fellow Wii Musicians via the Wii Message Board.

While Nintendo is hesitant to admit anything as the "content and announcements are still being finalized," they are reportedly set to announce "a number of new products."
According to the Nihon Securities Journal, Nintendo is scheduled to hold a press conference on October 2 in Japan. They are scheduled to announce "a number of new products" at the fall event.
Nintendo held a similarly timed press conference last year . In 2007, Nintendo talked about market and sales data, showed off the then-upcoming WiiWare service, and announced that Capcom was bringing Monster Hunter 3 to the Wii exclusively.

From Lighthouse Interactive, Pirate Party: Adventures of the Black Corsair is expected to bring pirates, action, and parties to the Wii and DS early next year.
Lighthouse Interactive recently announced the upcoming release of Virtual Identity's family-friendly action-adventure party game for Wii and DS, Pirate Party: Adventures of the Black Corsair. Players take on the role of a pirate in 17th century London who is double-crossed. Players take their character on the road to redemption in various mini-games spread across story, single-player, cooperative, and versus modes.

Nintendo will publish the PAL version of the second of Atlus' medical dramas for Wii just shy of a year on from its North American launch date.
Nintendo has announced that it will publish Trauma Center: New Blood, Atlus' critically acclaimed medical drama/surgery simulation for Wii, across Europe on November 7. The launch will occur just thirteen days shy of the anniversary of the game's 2007 North American release, and fifteen months after Nintendo brought Trauma Center: Second Opinion—a Wii launch title in North America—to European shores.

This week sees the release of the second episode of Telltale's Strong Bad series alongside a WiiWare puzzle game. Meanwhile Mega Man 2, arguably the greatest Mega Man game, hits Virtual Console.

Based upon the dog rehabilitation television show on National Geographic, Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer will teach players how their dogs' minds work when it hits stores this fall.
Ubisoft recently announced that they will bring Cesar Millan and his television show, "Dog Whisperer", to the realm of video games in Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer for Nintendo DS. The game will involve the player learning how to address 40 different dog behavioral issues with the help of Cesar Millan and his unique rehabilitation method.

According to the developer's website, World of Goo is finished and will soon be sent to Nintendo for approval.
According to 2D Boy's website, development work on the much-anticipated World of Goo has been completed. In the same blog post, the two-man development team also state that they are "putting the final touches on the WiiWare version and expect to submit it to Nintendo for approval this month." They anticipate the WiiWare release will occur sometime before the PC retail release in November.

Based on the Bleach anime, Bleach: Versus Crusade is being developed by the team that made the Bleach DS game.
Treasure announced that their first Wii game will be a 3D fighting game based upon the Bleach anime. Subtitled "Versus Crusade", it has a cell-shaded graphical style and features all the main characters from the series.
The same team that made Bleach on the Nintendo DS are developing it, and are planning to include some kind of Nintendo Wi-Fi connection compatibility.

According to GameStop, Nintendo's Animal Crossing: City Folk and the Wii Speak peripheral will be featured in a bundle for $69.99.
During this year's GameStop Manager's Conference currently in session in Las Vegas, NV, it was revealed that Nintendo's Animal Crossing: City Folk will be offered in a bundle with the Wii Speak peripheral. The bundle will retail for $69.99, which is a $10 savings assuming that the game will cost $49.99 with Wii Speak costing $29.99.

Nintendo announces a sleek white device that connects to your Wii….wait, an internet router?
In a surprise announcement through a recent Famitsu article, Nintendo revealed a new piece of hardware compatible with the Wii and DS – a wireless Internet router.
The router will be advertised in collaboration with Internet services and hopes to simplify the process of getting Nintendo consoles online. The device will also be fully compatible with computers and other wireless enabled devices.

Spore Creatures is complete and will be available on DS in Europe and the Americas by this Sunday.
EA announced yesterday that Will Wright's latest creation, Spore and Spore Creatures, is being released to the world over the course of the week. The DS version, Spore Creatures is the only version of Spore to be released on a Nintendo system. There is no word included on release date or details of the previously announced Wii version.
