Muramasa: The Demon Blade may soon be playable in 3D.

In a recent Siliconera interview with Marvelous Entertainment, it was revealed that the company would like to bring Muramasa: The Demon Blade to another dimension with the Nintendo 3DS.

When the Group Manager of Marvelous Entertainment, Tomio Kanazawa, was questioned about what he thought of bringing Muramasa: The Demon Blade to the Nintendo 3DS, he responded by saying, "That’s a pretty good idea! That is one of the many things we think our fans want, and we want to provide to them," he replied. "We at Marvelous Entertainment want to continue to meet and exceed the expectations from our fans as we continue to bring them new experiences."

Marvelous currently has several Nintendo 3DS titles in the works, ranging from Animal Resort to a new Harvest Moon.

it looked great as a Wii game and on a smaller screen that is 3D it will be epic pretty.

I would prefer a sequel and while they at it, bring over a handheld No More Heroes title that is not a port.

I can only hope we don't see a bunch of console game ports to the 3DS...

No amount of 3D trickery is going to magically turn Muramasa into a good game.  If they bring it to 3DS, they'd better be prepared to fix the serious design flaws that game had (namely the monotony and tedium), or it will fail just as hard on the 3DS as it did the Wii.

I thought Muramas was a very good game.  ::)

This is one game where the graphics did carry it in places where game design was lacking...I still liked it though.

There are at least 4 already announced:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Star Fox 64 3D
Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

I guess this will be like the GBA getting dozens of SNES ports.

MGS and SSF weren't on the Wii, so I wouldn't really count those, and it also bodes well that companies are finally bringing these multiplatform games to Nintendo, even if it is on their portable system. I can recall people having these same worries when it was revealed that Nintendo's launch game for the DS would be Super Mario64 and things turned out quite well for the DS in terms of original IP's.
