Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime will make an appearance on late night television tonight.

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, known for its video game-related guests, will feature Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime in tonight's show to demo Retro Studios' Donkey Kong Country Returns.

This is the second time a Nintendo-made game will be featured on the program after G4's Morgan Webb showed Punch-Out!! last year. The show has featured video games all week, including demos for Kinect, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and Killzone 3.

Check your local listings to see how you can check out the name-taking and ass-kicking Nintendo of America president play Donkey Kong Country with Jimmy Fallon.

Didn't he flail around to Punch-Out!! a while back?

I can't wait to see this on Hulu tomorrow. Reggie should be on TV more often.

Fallon is not a funny guy, at all, but I may tune in for the interview with Reggie.

I think that was Conan wasn't it?

No, Conan was Wii Sports. I checked and in April 2009 Morgan Webb (of G4) appeared on Fallon's show and brought Punch-Out!! with her.

I don't normally watch this show, but I might check out this episode.

As an aside, I do feel like Jimmy Fallon's show has been getting better as it has gone on. Conan wasn't funny in his first year, either. I just hope the network gives it enough time for Fallon to get into his groove.

It's not just his talkshow; I always though he sucked on Saturday Night Live too.

Touche.

I remember Morgan Webb being on it, but I forgot she brought Punch-Out!!. Thanks for the catch.

Jimmy Fallon, i have to give it to him, his show is good, not Conan good, but he's always seemed weird. He has some hilarious skits, like the news one.

It's on now! Reggie confirmed 3DS for next year. He's showing it to Fallon.

EDIT: Fallon has a visible erection.

ThePermJune 26, 2010

haha

i love it when jimmy fallon was like "can i have one"

reggie "no"

it wasnt like a no it was more like a "fuck no, dude!"

also the way Jimmy says "you've done it", seems like he's really amazed

BlackNMild2k1June 26, 2010

3DS next year :(

I guess it is a March 2011 US release then.
I still think it's releasing in Japan this year though.

This screws up my Wii2 Xmas 2011 speculation though.

The problem I've always had with Fallon is how he goes overboard on being TOTALLY AMAZED at whatever he's being shown.  It comes across as completely contrived.

It's hard to play video games for an audience and make it come across as cool.

BlackNMild2k1June 26, 2010

Jimmy: "How do I jump?"
Reggie: "Press on the A button."

You would think he would at least know that one.

ThePermJune 26, 2010

if i were the host we would have gotten to level 2 and saw the DS
